the only real problems that affected the 98-02 V6 Accords were the transmissions. Actually the transmission problems affected the 4 cylinder models as well. The V6 trannies would just burn out internally, and the 4cyl versions had a habit of wearing out the final drive axle bearings, causing ATF to leak like crazy through what just seems to be a seal. But problems with the V6 engine itself...I'd consider it a pretty damn solid engine.
