Hi there. I've recently become interested in getting my own Integra, and evantually modding it. Like all great minds, I first want to learn as much as possible before I invest any money.

So i've looked around on the net and found your forum and decided to introduce myself and pick your brains. Now to the questions.


So the first time I posted on a forum about this I was told if I wanted to go Forced induction, LS was the way to go. But after reading alot, I was wondering if this was a viable idea.

Since so many integras have 100k+ miles would it be good to just get a GSR with leather seats and all the nice features, then buy an LS engine and build it up for Turbo or SC? and since I wont be doing any forced induction for awhile I gain the benefit of 30hp.

Would that be a good way of looking at it if I were to plan on throwing in turbo?


My next question. What should I look to pay? I've went through auto trader and several forums and the average price seems to be about 6000$ with 100k + miles.

Are there any good books or FAQs that would help a n00b get some ground under his feet? I'm starting to understand alot more about modding, turbos and such, but alot of it is just assumptions from reading forum posts.

and what benefits do carbon fiber hoods give?
