ok lets first get this corrected. any1 who thinks drifters want less traction as posible is a idiot and knows nothing about drifting, u dont go throwing bald tires and spin them out. drifters need traction b/c the motor sport is judged not just on goin sideways but also the angle control in the turn and tire smoke, they need traction or they end up smacking the wall or another drifter in tandems. i have heard about the flexiblity of the VW awd system, it has been put into the focus b4 for some fed up reason but VW awd sucks cuz its just fwd when the tire spin up front it converts 20% torgue to the back, great for snowy drivways. anyway may i ask y would u do this unless u build a rally integra which would be nice to see but u would need a better awd system. and also there are many awd drift cars like r34s and some evos i have seen, the reason they are not in d1 or any other major league is that they are restricted by the rule that the car must be rwd.
also in doesnt matter about traction as long as the car has enough power to kick out the tires in a mid gear. for instance when goin into the turn from a dead stop the car accels to 3rd and kepps it mid rpm then enters the turn from the outside and curves throught the middle, kicks the cluch brings it to almost red and begins to spin the tires after cuting the whell the oppposite way then ajusting for his angle and exit of the turn.
