Yay...bent valves!
Im pretty sure I just bent all of my intake valves....
I got a good deal on a 6al and figured that i would wire it in and see what happens, well i really didn't like it that much so acouple months ago i took it out and sold it to a firend of mine to put in the truck he was building, and just ran some new wires to the coil, well they didn't really work so well and caused the car to misfire everynow and then....so I finally just gave up and bought a new distributor.
The night before i got the distributor my girlfriend and I went out to dinner and drove home the car ran just fine... I came home and went to bed woke up the next day and put the distributor on went to start the car and nothing happend so i figured I put it on upside down since its an aftermarket one and not keyed like the factory one, I went to start it and nothing happened so I jacked the car up and put it at tdc and took the disributor off and put it where it would fire on the first cylinder, checked all the fuses and tried again....so after all that I looked at the timeing belt it was on and tight but the intake came was 180* the exhaust vavle....pimp I guess :werd:
I pulled the timeing belt off, adjusted the timeing so that it was correct, put a new timeing belt on and went to start the car, and still it wouldn't start...so i pulled out the compression tester....30, 60, 90, 150
Well I started trying to find valves yesterday but havn't had much success, the only ones that I can find are for a gs-r and supposibly the seats are different so does anyone know where I can find valves for a b18c5?
****cliff notes****
MSD sucked, rewired distirbutor, rewired distirbutor sucked, bought a new distributor, car wouldn't start, the timeing was off 180*, comression was 30, 60, 90, 120......I need new valves...and have had little to no luck finding them.
