It won't hurt your tranny if you do it right or double clutch it. B-series motor throttle cables also have a nasty habit of breaking loose especially if you're hard on the throttle from downshifting so fast. So buy some threadlock now.

If you're still in the beginning stages and practicing, try to get the technique down to only ankle movement.
