OK, I checked all the connections again...I didn't bother switching the ballasts from each side, because either way, one of them isn't going to work (I checked all connections very thoroughly, grounds and all!). I adjusted the aim. I changed the fuse, with the same result, passenger side works fine, driver's side doesn't turn on at all.
well, i found a solution. philips makes a ballast for D2S bulbs. I read on Honda-Tech.com that it's compatible with the JDM housing, and the only difference is the length of the cable. it's slightly shorter in the JDM OEM. I guess I can find a way to wind the wire around so it "becomes" shorter.
in any case, i like this alternative better than trying to find another JDM HID light housing. i believe it will be cheaper, and if there's any kind of problem, at least this time it comes with a warranty.
i'm not sour toward passwordjdm or anything, i should've understood better that when you buy used parts, there's never any kind of expressed warranty. i still plan to do business with them in the near future.
if the moderators want me to write any kind of article on my trek through trial and error with the JDM HID Conversion for reference to future JDM'ers, I'll also be happy to do so.
