Should I go with the JDM siR 1? or USDM? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Also is there any differance between a b16a1 and a b16a2 block?:dunno:
Ahh c'mon Seth....you know the answers to these questions. They have been asked a million times on the other board.
The easiest motor to use in your case is a JDM 1st gen B16 (it's already set up for a 88-91 Civic)
Yes the turbo will fit no problem
There is no B16a1, only B16a (JDM B16 Motors), B16a2 (99-00 SI motor) and the b16a3 (94-97 DOHC Del Sol motor)
And the only differences in these blocks was the compression ratio. Some B16's are 10:1 compression and the earlier ones were 10.2:1 (these would be the 170hp B16's). Other than that all the blocks are the same. Oh yeah also earlier B16's also didn't use crank girdles like the GSR and ITR motor always had.
