If the old pads still have most of their wear, go ahead and try to use them. If they are well worn, go ahead and replace them while you are in there.
Generally, while you CAN use older pads, it's better to put on new everything. New goes better with new. And remember, just because you CAN do something doesn't necessarily mean you should...
I've used Axxis pads on my 95 and I haven't any trouble or noise from them. I can say that it is better (and RECOMMENDED) to use organic vs. metallic pads, at least with the stock rotors.
And unless you're going to be doing some track days or road racing, you won't benefit from drilled and/or slotted rotors or high-performance/race pads. OEM organic pads or something close is best.
