Btw, Mod AcuraTL. I noticed that you are from the Bay Area too (as am I). Do you have a recommendation for an easy-to-deal-with dealer around here. I am in the South Bay but I do not mind travelling a bit if they do give a replacement car.

Your problem does sound like the tranny is going. Do you have any warning indicator lights on? Best thing to do is call your dealership and ask if your vehicle is covered on the 7yr warranty.
