the idea is that the smaller turbo will handle the lower rpm range and the bigger one will pick up the slack once the smaller one becomes ineffcient.

the problem is that just by introducing the extra turbo there are 900 other variables that are added.

if it comes stock TT and you keep it stock then generally it's a good thing because the cost of it is not as much, but to go ahead and modify any stock car for TT is basically just a money pit with nearly no gains over a similarly priced single turbo setup once you finally get it up and running.

plus a single turbo requires minimal tweakign with new add-ons, vs a TT which needs to go thru a whole 'nother process


this is the reason supra owners 99% of the time go single turbo
