Do i need to get a puller and repack bearings or is does the rotor just slide on and off once I remove the caliper?

I can't find a stinking manual in any of the parts stores. They stock through 98.
Since you are new, I'll give you break and try to help, but yeah, it's probably been covered before and could be found by searching.

There is no need for a puller and you don't mess with the bearings. Remove the caliper and there will be two small phillips screws that basically just hold the rotor against the hub for ease of assembly. Beware though...you can easily strip the head, so I would recommend penetrating oil/lube and using an impact driver (10-30bucks) to get them off to prevent stripping. If they do strip and you can't get them out, just drill the heads off and slide the rotor off,you don't really need the screws, they just make it easier to hold the rotor to the hub when re-installing the caliper. It's the lugnuts that really hold the rotor tight.

If you live in the rustbelt like I do, even after you remove the screws the rotor may be stuck onto the hub via rust, etc. You can beat off the rotor from behind usually, but if it's really stuck like one of mine was, I had to buy some bolts that thread down into the rotor and press the rotor off the hub. Don't remember the size and pitch off hand, but just take the new rotor to a hardware store and you can find it if needed.
