uh, have you ever seen an SMSP or hytech header? they look totally different. the design is totally different. just because they have the same collector size doesn't mean that the headers are the same. this particular header is of the same pedigree as the prospeed and AN-R headers, because all 3 were designed by the same guy.

these headers are expensive because of the R&D, and the production costs of doing small batches of very intricate stainless steel pieces. if they were to make 1000's of these at one time like DC, they'd be much, much cheaper.
