I wonder if the shop replaced all the clutch parts and not just the disc i've seen that happen before I would ask to see if the pressure plate and throw out bearing was replaced if the synchro are bad it usally won't go into gear or grind not slip ... but if there was a grove in the shaft the throw out bearing might hang up causing the slipping.
