You should have no problem doing it yourself. Disc brakes are generally very easy to work on. I own a 91Si. One thing to note on the rear calipers on mine. I don't know if a 97 is the same way but When I install new pads I have to reset the pucks in to the caliper to accept the new pads that have more pad on them than the worn ones. Most pucks just push back in. The front ones do push back in. The rear ones have to be turned back in like a screw. They have a cross pattern cut in them. You can use the blunt side of a butter knife or similar instrument to insert into this groove in order to turn them back in. I think turning them clockwise turns them back in. :goodjob:
