I'd rather not wait that long.
News flash: Americans blow up more Americans than foreigners blow up Americans.

Alright alright, cease your crying and let's think a little bit.
I'm sorry your idea sucks but them's the breaks.
When people post really bad ideas, I say they are really bad ideas. This is factual and honest.
Person says "Well blah you don't have any better ideas so nyah"
The fact that I have not stated an ideal solution to the problem doesn't stop your solution from being a big steaming pile of doggy doo. Things are bad on an absolute scale, not a relative scale. If we were talking relative, I would be using comparatives like worse. I'm not.
To sum up:
- There is nothign wrong with the current social security system.
- There is something wrong with the funding for the current social security system.
- Fixing the funding of the social security system does not neccessitate a change in its structure or philosophy.
- A flat sales tax has nothing to do with social security.
- Once again "fixing" social security is being used to advance a large social agenda.
- A flat sales tax is a bad idea for many reasons, some of which I have addressed.
I am not a democrat, but thank you for highlighting exactly the focus point of this discussion, which is that various people are using problems which are barely if at all connected to their "solutions" as an excuse to advance some party line agenda bullshit.
