I think it is the new chasity in combination w/ the suspension and expensive tires. I've driven many new cars, and old ones for that matter, and the BMWs are def. nice, but many other new cars handle just as well for the same or less $. If you take a brand new civic (with a fresh chasity) and do suspension (Including anti roll bars etc) and put $200/tire sport tires equal in width, you'd be suprized how close they are.
