This is quite possibly the most absurd claim I have ever heard.
There is no way in hell that any system on a car would produce 50 hp worth of parasitic drag.
The people who claim you can "unleash" 50 hp by removing a few vacuum lines and actuators from a car should not be trusted when it comes to performance tuning.
