Hey all, I had the passenger fan on my 99 2.3 CL go out; in the process of checking fuse/relay on that fan I cut out the driver side fan by shorting across (I think) the cooling fan relay located up near the passenger firewall fusebox. I thought I had just blown the fuse but I checked the fuse and it was OK. I checked the fan and it still works. The A/C compressor won't come on either but I can get it to engage by connecting the contacts at the relay(near the radiator fans) for the fan (however the car idle doesn't increase RPM). Is it possible for me to blow the relay next to the radiator fans by shorting across the contacts for the relay up by the firewall? Is the problem something else? Any and all answers, suggestions, input, magic spells are welcome.
