well im just plain sick of my low hp y8 and i think in a year i want to turbo (thats how long it will take to save) by then i should have about 150k on the motor. motor burns a 1/4 quart every 3-4000 miles and valves need to be adjusted currently. you think i should go nutty and re-ring, get new rods and pistons and new head gasket before the boost? im a bit scared about getting a turbo, putting all that work into install and then popping the motor. furthur more, if i do go the route of replacing pistons, should i go stock pistsons and stronger rods or should o spend the extra cash and get low comp pistions too?
i just gotta get realistic about my goals for the car and an engine swap is not somthing i want to get into. i want somewhere around 200-220 whp.
