I have one on my GSR, it sound sweet. I have 2.5 inch piping, a 14 inch resonator and the 5x8, 14 inch long muffler. It sounds really good, although I'm not a Type R, I do have Spoon cams and a JDM ITR header. Cam lift changes the sound of an exhaust.
my brother had a setup almost exactly like that on his gsr. except he had a 16" resonator and 2.5" carsound cat along with the jdm header. vtec sings and puts a smile on your face.
