heyfrench, thanks for the reply. I noticed the cylinder walls had some kind of white coating on them when I had the head re-done. That is what intimidates me. Do you know what FRM stands for? If I take the block to lets say a NAPA machine shop are they going to know what they are doing if all it needs is honing? Or are the special tools affordable enough that I can do it myself. Believe me I'm going to measure re-measure and measure some more before I decide to bore it. What would you do? Wouldn't you just botr iy .010 over just to make it more simple and get a little more power out of it?
