It's a car job, can't they think of ways to make it interesting for the workers? Like make a race track behind the factory, and just let employees take some newer cars and race the heck out of it. Or some good tracks and just let employees drive 100 MPH to "test" out the new cars (of course this new car, after all the driving, would not be sold to the public), I am sure this would put a smile on every face (I am not kidding).
It's a job, not an amusement park. Running a track is prohibitively expensive. Think of the tires, fuel, maintenance, emergency services, and tons of other stuff that go into running a race track and cars for it. And factory jobs are meant to monotonous and repetitive so the likelihood of you screwing up is low.
