I've actually heard a lot of complaints about this, so you certainly aren't an isolated case. But I average about 27-28mpg, with about 75/25% hiway/city. But that city driving is almost all stop & go. I've gotten as much as 31mpg when I did an almost all-highway stint. My '05 has about 6000 miles on it so far, and mileage has stayed pretty constant. I mostly use 91 octane Shell V-Power gas.
This is only about 1-2mpg less than my '94 Integra LS averaged, and I'd take that tradeoff for 70 additional horsepower.
