Of course not. This juy was an FBI agent, #2 at the time. Seems like if he were not a total douche, rather than go to the press, he could go to work and do his job. That entire episode could have been handled so much better that it is really pretty ridiculous. This very same guy was pardoned by Reagan for break in crap in the 1980's. My point is, holding him up as a hero of some sort is just wrong, when he went to the press with classified information. Jeapordizing national security is never right, even if you knock off a shady politician.

But by the same token, Nixon's men had long since carpet-bombed it.

But without putting Felt on a pedestal, I'm still glad he came forward. Nixon's men were operating far outside their bounds; IMO we needed a whistle blower.
