Well I did some searching and the Watergate scandal was from 1972-1974. The pr0no Deep Throat came out in 1972 also. I couldn't find which was first.
But this line in the Wikipedia says that the sex act came first.
"Deep throating is a sexual act, depicted in the movie. This is the origin of all the other meanings of the term."
Now I guess I'm just confused about the link. I guess at that time, Deep Throat (the person) was considered bad. So possibly they were labeled that because the movie also came out around that time and the person that started it could have been making fun of or mocking the person and gave them a negative nickname to try and draw them out.
Naw, I think it's really just a scanal by the porn industry to get a blatent sexual act and popular movie into mainstream media. Everything else was made up. Yea, that one sounds more fun.
