i have an aftermarket alarm.. not sure of your brand but this is what resets mine.. start by looking right up under the rim of the dash, driver's side, tucked up under or along the bottom edge there should be a button hanging off of a wire from the alarm wire harness maybe black.. try the brake pedal side of the steering wheel area.. once u find it, pull it alittle to where u can have access to it.. now close the door dont lock it.. get the remote.. open the door, stand there and hit button1 then button 11 then button 1...reach in and push the black button under the dash 1x with in 10secs or so.. then start the car... that should clear up any problems.. the alarm light should go off. if its solid red then its in valet, so u just repeat the procedure i gave u.. if the light is out then u are set to turn off the car and lock the car with the remote as u normally would hit 1, 1x and hear the locks and see if the alarm dash light flashes steady like it is suppose to normally flash.. what u see now is the number of flashes that tells the alarm the area of the car that was disrupted..broken down into zones..you may even here some warning beeps.. good luck
