I was actually running ceramic in the front, OEM in the back. The ceramic were fine on the rotors. I had to replace the rotors, but only because they were the original rotors and the car had 130k miles on it.
I would try the AEM pads. They are pretty cheap, so you should give them a try and if you notice accelerated rotor wear, replace them with some tried and trusted, but expensive OEM pads.
