How low were you? I think oil guages reflect oil pressure rather then oil level. I think you still had enough oil in your engine for the light not to come on. Get your ride towed to the shop where you had your oil changed and get them check everything. Have your car been leaking or loosing oil before? If not then ......well you know what to do
yea...i heard it was oil pressure not level. so when it gets bone dry...i think the pump has nothing to pump so the light goes on?
not sure but my parents run their cars till the light goes on which is pretty stupid.
