I dont mean to argue here, but that is so so wrong. I have a 1989 civic hatchback. It does not have a panel like that, the panel it has only exploits the level sending unit honest to god man. I would swear on it but bad words are useless. If the access panel was like that i would spew on myself in happiness and call you my personal god but it isnt. on a 1989 civic hb you must drop the tank, call your local dealer tomorrow and ask.
