you may not have V-TEC, but if you're not looking for a race engine it's not really that much of a concern, if you just want to boost a few ponies, i'd say you're first move should be an exhaust...get about a 2.5" exhaust from the catalytic converter on back with a higher flowing muffler...then an intake, i recomend a short ram intake(SRI) to avoid the concerns involved with a cold air intake(CAI)...and with the intake always be sure to mount a good filter on it, like K&N...all that said and done should run you about $200-$300 depending upon where you get it done...let us know how it goes.
