Default Timing belt advice for 6th gen I4

Hey guys,

I just need some opinions here. I have a 98 I4 Accord with about 89,000 km (55,000 mi). Honda recommends the timing belt and tensioner be changed at 7 years or 168,000km (103,000mi) for regular and servere conditions. The exception to this is if you in a constantly hot or cold climate they recommend it done at 100,000 km (60,000 mi).

I'm no where near the required mileage, but the 7 year mark is approaching. I'll probably hit the 115,000 km (71,000 mi) mark by the end of the year with driving I log. The question is should I go and replace the timing belt this year or hold off on it.

For the first 5 years of the car's life it's only logged 21,000km (13,000 mi) and no winters. I've pretty much packed on the miles when I took over.

Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
