I think the A/C clutch has failed on my 98 Civic EX. I've checked the system pressure, fuses and relays and it all seems to be fine. There is just no clicking sound when the AC clutch is supposed to engage. I even tried to hotwire the relay for it, still no sounds from the clutch.
Anyways, this is my first civic (just got it last week), and I was wondering if this is a common problem. And also if there is a way to replace the AC clutch without depressurizing the system and taking the entire compressor off. The space around the compressor seems awfuly tight, I can't even get my hand in there easily, not mentioning wrenches and pullers. Is there anithing I can take off easily to get access to that spot?
