When you're breaking in the clutch, highway driving doesn't hurt anything at all. It just doesn't count towards the break-in miles, since you aren't working the clutch.

It would be more accurate to say break-in is 100 or 200 (or ???) normal non-racing starts. Every time you take off from a stop sign or redlight, just pretend there's a cop behind you . You just want to get the clutch/flywheel/pressureplate to wear into each other without scorching their surfaces.
