No problem man, you went throught the exact thing I went through. I got a new compressor and let it sit around until my AC pully froze up too! Now as far as the R34 conversion, I'm not exactly sure, but I know they sell a kit at Advance. I think you just screw an adapter to the factory recharge thing and recharge it yourself. It comes with a pressure gauge too.
