No. Thanks very much for the lecture there boss - but I was under the assumption than since he was quote "fired", there was an element of foul play involved since he was adamant he'd done nothing wrong. That doesn't give every fucka the right to take advantage of others - alas it depends on where and how you choose to run the operation doesn't it. If you're fired - as in sacked - for reasons other than they don't need you, then you do have certain rights.
