Don't let the basterds grind you down - see what legal action you can take by talking to an independent advisor; there's also some good information on the internet. Often they'll try and make it out that it's you, through things like bullying and constructive dismissal, pressure or harassment; I've been there - you're better than that so stick the preverbal two fingers up to them in the best way possible. Be absolute in your knowledge that there's nothing they can get you on, and make sure you can if necessary, rely on witnesses in the strictest of confidence.

If it goes to a tribunal then they OWE YOU - your job back AND compensation.

If this is what they're capable of then you're better of outa there, but I would seriously make some calls so that you can leave them with a nasty taste in the mouth. One thing these companies don't like is exposure and the one thing I make catagorically sure of before I step one foot in the place, is to know what you're supposed to do - and not do, and stick to it. It's sad that it often comes to laying down riot acts to line managers but that's the way of the world these days isn't it.

Take care m8.
he was still with the temp agency, when you are working through a temp agency the hiring firm doesnt need any other reason than "Dont need you" to let someone go. That's why it's called a temp agency. If he was already on the company's payroll that's a different story.
