Thanks for the reply. I didn't know they came without ac. I had picked up a used compressor a while back and was putting off the repair since I haven't really needed ac yet this year, didn't really know how to do it myself and didn't want to shell out the money at the moment. When this happened, it got me off my butt and I swapped out the compressors today. Hadn't ever done this before, but I just went for it. Really wasn't a big deal. It took longer to get to it (ps pump, alternator and right side fan all in the way) than it took to change the compressor. Anyway, problem solved. Any idea what's involved in converting to R34??
