you should quit worrying about everyone elses car, your car is pretty cool. Be happy with it and do the mods that make you happy. If you want a ultra dominator consider a muscle car.
If you are stuck on the forced induction idea, just take the right precautions. You shouldnt have bought a turbo already without knowing what all your options and preferences are. You really want to take the precautions to minimize damage to your motor you are going to be doing alot of work to your completely torn down motor. You also are going to look up and learn about turbo support systems (see hondata website). You should have learned all about this before the turbo purchase though.
If i were you i would sell the turbo, yank the gsr/si killer =), and throw yourself a nice little b series motor, or a ZC, bolt on what you can (and whats effective, not gimmicky) and enjoy. You will have good gas mileage as you said you want, and you will be relatively quick.
