Purchased my MDX with an auto starter. I was happy b/c this was the first car I had where I didn't need to carry 2 remotes. I had to bring it in b/c the remote was acting up. Sometimes the car would start from 20 ft away and then other times you needed to be 3 ft away and then other times it wouldn't work at all. At night i would start it and let it run well 15 mins it automaticly turns off, but, guess what the head lights stay on!! Door locks were the same. Well service guy agreed with me something was wrong. So they told me that they changed the receiver and that didn't help. They changed other parts and that didn't help. He said they were on telephone with Acura all afternoon and nothing was wrong with car or remote, you need to be in line with the car for it to work. To solve my problem they upgraded me to a 2nd remote. Now I have 2 remotes and I need to take my headlights off automatic or they will stay on after 15 mins and car stops. Does all this sound right to you guys? It's the worst remote starter I ever had.
