Just don't short circuit the battery with the wrench or you will need that fire extinguisher for sure. A new filter (with washers) is about $30 from the dealer, so just shell out the money for trusted quality. Also the hole doesn't need to line up in the bolt. If you take a look at the banjo fitting, the hole can be anywhere along the fitting and still allow fuel to go through it.
