i can understand that point, but what if someone else uses something else and is over at you house you want to use it. i use smart media, but my mom has compact flash, and friends have other stuff (like memory stick). having an all in one means i can use it all easily.
well i've never had that problem really. if they wanted to give me the pics then there are other ways of getting them. that and i always take my usb cable with me for any of my cameras so it's not a big deal/problem. most of the digicams i've seen use a pretty standard usb cable.
