the speaker also stays linear by the spider(s) (yellow things under the cone).

my buddy used some clear nail polish and a square of panty hose (sounds homo huh? LOL) and he fixed his uber expensive Cerwin Vega Stroker 18 just fine.

I did the same thing to my old JL W4 12 and I just said screw it and whaled the hell out of it, and honestly it didnt tear any more... may have gotten lucky.
