h23 long blocks are pretty cheap. h23 aftermarket support is far superior than f22b as well as oem parts. for example, they wont have a t-belt for it, you have to use a GSR/ITR belt and what not. also the f22b uses a p39 ecu that are kinda hard to get if you dont get it with the motor but can also use an h23 p14 ecu but then you would have to wire in a knock sensor. if you have a 5th gen the map sensor on the f22b is firewall mounted and not on tb, you will also need f22a water pump, and a 92-96 lude driverside mount.

f22b has slightly less tq and lower compression ratio, and a smaller bore but its still an awesome motor, especially to boost. back in the day it wasnt uncommon to find them for like $500 but i guess the demand on them have gone up.
