well not so much the cam gears but the VAFC is important, cause once u have bigger cams, (give u an idea skunk2 stage 1 cams are bigger then ITR cams) they like to crack at a higher rpm, the cam gears are nice to fine tune them. when i put my stuff in, and i had not purchased the VAFC yet, my car had no power between 45k when vtec hits till about 6k then again i would have power till 8k redline.
