The Type-S is alright. A little chirpy but it sounds very mean at high boost. If I were to do it all over again, I would have spent the extra money for the HKS SSQV. The Greddy and other piston type BOVs leak at idle and the HKS doesn't. It sounds a little less chirpy too but the $230 price tag plus the $40 for the flange was enough for me to spring for the Type-S version for $200 shipped with the flange. I haven't heard anything about the RS, so I really don't know. I wanted to try it but I already have a perfectly functional one, so why would I waste the money?
I have heard great things about the Tial but I couldn't find a proper mounting flange for it anywhere. It was also cheap too, but I decide to go with the Greddy one.
