i think you might need to sand it with some high grit sand paper, but i have no clue. i would suggest painting over carbon fiber because of theft purposes. if someone sees that you have a CF hood, they would automatically think you have something good. trust me, if my civic didnt have the CF hood on it, it would have lessened the chances of it getting stolen from me and it would have looked like any other civic.
