Here in Michigan the statistics show that 25% of the adult population (21 and over) smokes. That means that three times as many adults don't smoke. My wife and I don't go to bars (we have a lot of blues & jazz bars here in Ann Arbor) because of the heavy concentration of smokers. In Ontario, Canada they passed a law banning smoking in public places, at first the bar owners complained about it and said they were going to lose business but guess what business more than doubled in a lot of places after the ban mainly because of people like my wife and me.
