Correct. The bottom of the sub enclosure sits in the spare tire to account for the depth of the sub basket assembly, and you raise the "floor" of the hatch area accordingly to accomodate any extra height. It's a great way to flush mount you amps as well.
PM me if you want specific info. It takes about a full day to make the box, false floor, and vinyl everything, but when you're done, you have a fully custom trunk without sacrificing much room.
Ah ok. I got it. But that sounds like it would cost way too much to reproduce. I will probably just do with a small ported box pushed all the way back to the seat, and put the amp on the box.
