so then i would proceed to grab him, throw him against a wall, punch him up into the stomach, then throw him down the stairs, slam his head into the front door, and throw him out in the yard.
then i would go upstairs and scream at the top of my lungs, maybe also force her to sniff pepper.
i caught her smoking pot once and i nearly went ballistic...

Yeah... my brother fell into drugs pretty bad after my father died. It was his escape. I guessed my brother was experementing with fairly serious drugs at one point, but when I caught him doing coke... I knew he had gone over the edge. My mother forced him to go to drug therapy until her was 18, and after he was 18, told him to either stay sober or move out of the house. He chose to move out, because drug use was "His choice". After a year of living on friend's couches, being kicked from house to house because his friends would get tired of him, being ostracised by his family, and meeting a girl who kept him on track forced him to realize that maybe drugs didn't help anything. Now, he drinks and smokes (Cigs and weed... but I don't care about light weed use) in moderation, and has gotten a career job that pays more per hour than any job I've gotten since I got my BA. He refuses to touch hard alcohol, and his girlfriend would kick his ass if he did anything like how he was 2 years ago, so he's doing a lot better. But, for about 3 years, for my personal sanity, I had to ignore the fact that I had a brother.
