you can take them out, you just leave out the bearings for them and do not line them up with the holes for the oil. The reason the oil pressure would go down is because the oil holes would be pushing oil into the engine and it wouldnt be going anywhere but if you plug the holes by leaving the shafts themselves in, just not spinning and taking away power, youll have oil pressure and a little more power.
